Lara Daniel (MMM 13) is in Forbes Magazine’s ‘30 under 30’ list of the most influential young people

Lara Daniel (MMM 13), co-founder and CEO of Pulse Advertising, has been selected by ‘Forbes Magazine’ as among the 30 most influential young people in the field of Media & Marketing for defining and driving the World of news and content

Lara Daniel and Christoph Kastenholz co-founded the Pulse Group, a global market leader in influencer marketing. Since 2014 and without investors, the pair has created an international powerhouse with a team of 60 and offices in Hamburg, New York City and Milan. Pulse is one of few international groups controlling both sides of the value chain: demand as an ad agency and supply as talent management.

Pulse Advertising specializes in the development and management of digital campaigns for some of the world’s most well known brands such as L’Oréal, P&G, Unilever, Henkel, General Motors, Daimler, PUMA, Calzedonia, LVMH, Pernod Ricard, Richemont, the Swatch Group, Huawei, HTC, or UBER.
In 2015 Lara also co-founded Pulse Management, a boutique management agency that offers a powerful network and support to exceptional influencers in becoming a brand themselves.

They may be young, but they are ones for the ages. The Forbes third annual “30 Under 30” Europe list features 300 young disruptors across a diverse list of categories, including entertainment, finance and technology. The roll includes a record number of 34 European countries, with entrepreneurs from places like Belarus and Kosovo for the first time. The Forbes reporters vetted thousands of nominations and polled expert judges to compile the list and ensure that each member, whether a chart-topping musician or founder of a multi-million-dollar e-commerce company, is a leader in his or her industry.

What does the nomination as “Forbes 30 under 30” means to you?

Being recognised as a Forbes 30 under 30 out of almost 15,000 submissions is a great honour! Winning this award is a great compliment to my teams, too, as it recognises all the hard work we have put in to become global market leader in influencer marketing over the last years. I am so thankful to see such strong positive feedback from so many people as well as the press coverage for Pulse Advertising & Pulse Management.

Honestly, when we started out there was no influencer marketing industry, so we were able to shape this advertising field the way we saw fit. This award proves that we have succeeded building the credibility that this form of advertising deserves, working alongside many innovative and driven teams at the brands we work with.

It excites me every day to be working with such an amazing team of skilled, driven and loyal individuals at Pulse and more than anyone my co-founder Chris, whose skills and talents so perfectly complement my own flaws.

As an entrepreneur you tend to only see potential, hence things that are not going well now and can be improved. Receiving this award helped me to take time and reflect on how far we have come and what we have achieved. Within three years and boot-strapped, meaning we have no investors and built this business out of nothing, Pulse has become a home for many. Since we have international teams and offices across Europe and North America, Pulse continues to be an inspiring place for myself too, learning more about advertising, cultures and people every day.

It goes to show that trusting your gut, fighting for what you believe in and investing into great people is what makes dreams become reality! #pulsepower
